Total reported AFL TV ratings for the season is 32.188m at an average of 473,000 per broadcast. This is up from 28.296m (+13.7%) but at a lower broadcast average of 490,000 for the same time last year. (-3.4% YoY). This is due to greater single/twin market broadcasts in the ratings charts this year.
Including Origin, total reported AFL ratings for the season are 33.031m at an average of 479,000 per game. Origin was not held in 2025.
We say “reported” due to the number of single/twin market games that go unreported, usually Sunday mornings and Saturdays. Note that the AFLs broadcast rights guaranteed local team FTA broadcasts into all states outside of Victoria.
Consolidated AFL TV Ratings total 30.208m at an average of 522,000. This is up from 29.67m at an average of 479,000 in 2025. +8.9% YoY. Note that consolidated ratings are a week behind current, and does not include Kings Birthday.

Thursday Night #AFL has been watched by an average audience of 670,000 per broadcast on Seven (+13.4% YoY). Average reach has been 1.876m (+10% YoY), while average BVOD is 99,000 (+133% YoY).
Friday Night #AFL has been watched by an average audience of 635,000 per broadcast on Seven (+2.7% YoY). The average reach has been 1.871m (+4% YoY), and average BVOD is up 109% YoY.
Friday Night AFL has an average audience of 636,000 (Rch 1.839m) for standalone matches, while they average 632,000 (Rch 1.927m) for their Friday night concurrent broadcasts.
Sunday Afternoon AFL is a little harder to quantify due to the nature of split broadcasts, however programming listed as “Sunday Afternoon” averages 397,000, almost identical to the 396,000 for the same period in 2025.
