Foxtel reports that Sunday 2 March was the most streamed day ever for the channel with 144 million minutes streamed. Expanding the rugby league schedule to include an international women’s game and a Super League game saw the Jillaroos achieving their biggest audience ever across Foxtel and Kayo Sports in their victory over the Lionesses. The Wigan Warriors v Warrington Wolves game also soared to the top of the most watched Super League game of all time across Foxtel and Kayo Sports. The Penrith Panthers v Cronulla Sharks game was the most-watched game over the weekend, with the game also being the most watched regular season Panthers game ever across Foxtel Group.
Internationally, Nielson in the USA is reporting 371,000 total viewers for the Raiders/Warriors in Vegas on Fox in the US.
The NRL kicked off with much fanfare in Vegas, and Warriors fans tuned in in huge numbers for their initial game, with 402k people watching the Raiders v Warriors match from Las Vegas on Sky and free-to-air on Sky Open. A further 91k watched on Sky Go and 64k on Sky Sport Now.

The Warriors’ meeting with the Melbourne Storm attracted an audience of 349,000 live on Sky Sport 1 and live-to-delayed on Sky Open, just under 102,000 on Sky Sport Now, and just over 60,000 on Sky Go.

From Nine PR: Sunday Afternoon NRL secured its timeslot with Total People and all key demos in Sydney and Brisbane. It was the No. 2 program with People 16-39 in Sydney and Brisbane. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.316 million and a Total TV National Audience of 554,000 – up 11.0% year-on-year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD audience of 72,000 – up a massive 75.6% year-on-year.
Round 9 of the 2025 #NRL season was had an aggregate viewing audience on Nine of 1.39m across #MagicRound with an average of 463,000 per match. Including Womens Origin G1 it was 2.317m at 579,000 This is down on last years figured of 1.47m for Magic Round and 2.447m with WOrigin, due mostly to shifting the saturday tv coverage to the afternoon and the election.
The 2025 #NRL season on Nine has had 18.910m viewers to date at an average of 573,000 per broadcast (inclusive of Womens Origin G1 and Allstars), including an average BVOD audience of 81,000 and average reach of 1.314m. The total audience is up 13.8% YoY, with average audiences up 6.9% (noting that Magic Round wasnt held until 2 weeks later in Round 11, 2024).
