After taking a shellacking on Thursday night, the AFL and Seven struck back in Friday to win the free to air ratings.
Fridays Crows v Hawks game at Adelaide Oval attracked 699,000 viewers to the Seven Network, with an average BVOD of 50k, and a Reach of 1.794 million.
This season, Friday Night #AFL has an aggregated FTA rating of 13.172m at an average of 627,000 per broadcast. This is down 3% YoY. Average BVOD audience is 45k (+100% YoY), Average reach is 1.857m (no change).
Interesting thing about the AFL Reach numbers being the same as last year, but with a lower average. Tells us the same number of people are tuning in, but leaving earlier.
Friday nights Broncos v Rabbitohs game brought in 548,000 viewers for Nine, including 86,000 BVOD viewers, with a reach of 1.297 million
Friday Night #NRL has an aggregate FTA rating of 12.774m on Nine at an average of 581,000 per game. This is upo 2.1% YoY. Average BVOD audience is 86k (+30% YoY). Average Reach audience is 1.279m (-5% YoY)
