Round 1 of the 2025 AFL Season has broken the all time round record for the AFL with 431,505 people attending 9 matches (47,495 ave) in 5 different states across four days/nights. The season so far has been attended by 491,063 at an average of 44,642, using capacity of 69%. This is down 7.36% on last year, but up 3.46% when accounting for the 2 postponed QLD matches in Opening Round.
The attendance for Friday Nights Hawks/Bombers match was a record for the two clubs.

Round 2 of the NRL season attracted 141,886 people at an average of 17,736 per game (69% capacity). This is down 8.54% on Round 2, 2024. So far this season 287,174 people have attended the NRL at an average of 19,145 per game (67% cap). This is down 3.61% on the first 2 rounds of 2024.

Panthers attendance was lower than normal due to playing out of Commbank while their new venue is under construction.
Concurrently running with Skyfire didn’t stop a record-breaking 18,884 people attending the Raiders’ first home game at GIO Stadium Canberra on Saturday 15 March. It is the biggest first home game crowd since 1999.
