Broncos lead all comers in the #NRL clubs social media with a whopping 2.375m followers. The Broncos had more followers on Facebook alone than 16 AFL clubs had in total.
Eight NRL Clubs had more than 1m followers in 2026 (the AFL had 2).
Dolphins were the big improvers, up 29% YoY, 7 other clubs were double digit improvers.

The Pies lead the #AFL clubs social media in 2026 with 1.441m followers across Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram and Twitter. The clubs totaled 14.944m followers for the year, up 7.68%
Lions were the big improvers – up 18% on 2025. The Saints and Suns also improved by double digits. Perhaps the biggest surprise is GWS overtaking North Melbourne in total followers.

The Brisbane Heat lead all comers in the #BBL social media stakes – 4 clubs with over a million, 2 clubs over 2 million. Sixers the biggest improvers, over 23%, Heat and Hurricanes also reporting double figure lifts.

Victory lead the Aleague on Social Media, but Auckland and Wellington were the big improvers, with both NZ sides up more than 20%. Jets the only AU side to lift in the double figures.

Australian Mens Cricket team had 5.4m facebook followers alone – easily the most followed Australian team .
