The NRMA Insurance Five Test series between Australia and India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy was the most watched Test series of all-time across Foxtel Group platforms Foxtel, Kayo Sports, Foxtel Go and Foxtel Now. The series was up 47% on the 2023/24 ‘Summer of Cricket’ Tests, and up 20% on the last Australia-India Test series in Australia in 2020/21.
The KFC BBL|14 has achieved the highest audience ever for a BBL season across Foxtel Group platforms including Kayo Sports, BINGE, Foxtel, Foxtel Go and Foxtel Now. The 2024/25 season has jumped 24% year-on-year.
Fox Footy, on Foxtel and Kayo Sports, has experienced a surge in viewership as the new AFL broadcast deal kicked off with 2025 Opening Round. With new graphics and dedicated commentary for the first time, average audiences on Fox Footy for 2025 Opening Round lifted 29% on 2024’s Opening Round.
In March, Kayo Sports smashed previous weekend viewership records as audiences flocked to the dedicated sports streaming service to enjoy an epic schedule including AFL, the Australian Grand Prix, NRL, The PLAYERS Championship, Supercars, netball, and World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour events.
In April, Kayo Sports recorded its biggest viewing weekend ever with audiences surging on the sports streaming platform to watch a massive schedule of sport including AFL Gather Round, NRL, the Masters Tournament, Formula 1®, Supercars, MotoGP, UFC, Super Netball, IPL and the NBA on ESPN.
In May, Mediaweek reported that the NRL had seen a subscription TV audience growth of 12.5% this year
At the end of May, Foxtel reported Fans are watching AFL in record numbers on Kayo Sports in 2025, with audiences up 25% on 2024 and 3.4 billion minutes streamed already as the season approaches the halfway mark.
The 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership season was the most-watched AFL season ever on Kayo SPORTS. Audiences on Kayo SPORTS grew by 19% year-on-year, with fans streaming 7.37 billion minutes of footy across the season, up 12% year-on-year. This marks the seventh consecutive year of audience growth on Kayo SPORTS and fourth consecutive year of growth across Foxtel Group platforms including Kayo SPORTS, BINGE, FOXTEL Now and FOXTEL.
The elimination blockbuster at Suncorp Stadium drew in 943,000 people across Foxtel platforms on Sunday.

The highly dramatic 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 on Sunday 12 October has become the most streamed Supercars race of all time on Kayo SPORTS, up 19% year-on-year, as fans watched Garth Tander and Matt Payne clinch an action-packed victory for Ford at Mount Panorama. Across the race, fans streamed a total of 189 million minutes of LIVE action as Tander celebrated his sixth Bathurst 1000 victory, and the young Payne secured his first.
The First Test Match of the Australia v England 2025/26 Ashes Series has broken records on Kayo SPORTS recording the highest average streaming audience of any Test Match in its history. As Australia looked to close out the Match, Day 2 was the most streamed Test Day ever. The Day achieved 90 million minutes streamed on Kayo SPORTS.
The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship season has set a new benchmark as the most-streamed Supercars season in Kayo SPORTS’ history. The 13-round season recorded 290 million minutes streamed, up 42% year on year. Across Foxtel Group platforms including Foxtel, Kayo Sports, Foxtel Go and Foxtel Now, it was also the most watched season since 2019, up 30% year on year.
The audience high for the 2025 F1® season follows highs in 2025 for the AFL, NRL, Supercars and the current Ashes Test.
