Queensland
- The Crisafulli Government is delivering upgrades totalling $28 million at five sport and recreation venues to encourage more people to get active more often, and support performance pathways for emerging athletes. Construction has now begun at the popular Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct in Currimundi, and the Gold Coast Recreation Precinct at Tallebudgera.

- The Adelaide Supercars street race is entering an exciting new era – with a new name, branding and title sponsor for the iconic motorsport event. Longstanding global fuel provider bp, which has been operating in Australia for over 100 years, will be the title partner of the newly named bp Adelaide Grand Final.

Tasmania
- A new round of funding aimed at attracting large-scale events and driving increased visitation to Tasmania has now opened. The Tasmanian Government announced the $5 million Event Attraction Fund as part of our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future.
Victoria
- Some of the world’s best cyclists will roll into Ballarat as part of the Jayco Herald Sun Tour next summer, in a major boost for the region’s businesses and visitor economy. Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos today announced The 2026 Tour backed by the Allan Labor Government’s Regional Events Fund, is expected to draw fans from across the country to watch the races.
