- Pump has released specialised AFL packaging for the season kick off, with Australian customers and supporters now able to purchase a bottle featuring their favourite AFL team. It is now the official water of the AFL
- Gatorade has renewed its sponsorship of the Australian Football League (AFL) for another three years. The sports drink brand will continue as the official hydration partner of Australian rules football’s elite men’s competition, and will now assume the same role for the newly launched AFL Women’s competition. The deal includes a range of branding rights and will see Gatorade support the league’s health and performance research through the Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI).
- Snapchat owner Snap Inc has signed a multi-year deal with the Australian Football League to produce “Our Stories” throughout for the competition and teams across the season. The crux of the deal is understood to be based on advertising revenue share. In it, Snapchat Our Stories will be put together by Snap, stitching together fan, athlete and league messages into one video. Each home stadium will also have geofilters.

Foodland – Foodland signed a new three-year deal ends 2018.
- Adelaide have announced that Balfours will replace Momentum Energy as their coaching partner for 2016.
- China Southern Airlines, the fourth largest airline in the world by passenger volume, will be positioned just below carmaker Toyota as a premium partner on the Crows’ sponsorship roster. According to local newspaper the Adelaide Advertiser, the deal is worth a high seven-figure sum over two years.

- Brisbane has announced that a new sponsorship for the Preseason with the Simon Black Football Academy. The Simon Black Academy is Australia’s first private footy academy for young men and women age 16 or over who want to take their football to an elite level whilst completing further studies.

- Carlton have signed a two year deal with CareerOne. The CareerOne logo will now appear on all official Blues apparel including the front of the Carlton away guernsey and the back of the home guernsey

- Collingwood have renewed their agreement with insurance firm CGU until the end of 2022, the biggest commercial deal in the club’s history. The deal will see CGU’s slogan, ‘see it through’, remain on the back of Collingwood’s playing shirts for the next five seasons of the Australian Football League (AFL).

- Port Adelaide have secured sponsorship from property group Greaton. The Chinese-backed developer, which is currently working on AUS$1.2 billion (US$913 million) worth of building projects in Adelaide and Sydney, will become a premium sponsor of the Australian rules football club alongside Cathay Pacific, RAA and Bank SA. The financial terms of the one-year deal were not disclosed.

- Richmond have signed Bang & Olufsen as its official Audio-Visual Partner, in what is the brand’s first-ever AFL partnership. Bang & Olufsen will have logo presence on both the AFL and VFL Tigers’ home and away match-day shorts. The brand will also be integrated throughout the Club’s video and social media channels, and have a match-day presence in Richmond’s changerooms
- Construction software developer Progressclaim.com has expanded its sponsorship deal with Australian rules football team Richmond Tigers. The company’s logo will now appear on the back of the Tigers’ matchday jerseys in the Victoria Football League (VFL), as well as on coaches’ polo shirts.
- Richmond have signed United Petroleum as their official match ball partner for the next two years. United Petroleum’s logo will appear on the club’s match-day footballs until the end of 2018.

- The Western Bulldogs have announced that People’s Choice Credit Union has signed on as a new Platinum Partner. Among other advertising activity, People’s Choice’s distinctive lime green and red logo will feature on the media backdrops of pre and post game interviews, and in the change rooms of the Bulldogs.
- The Western Bulldogs have announced a three-year renewal with Mission Foods. The multi-million dollar agreement will see the tortilla, flatbread and corn flour producer continue as the lead sponsor of the Australian Football League (AFL) side until at least the end of the 2020 season. The company’s branding will appear on the team’s playing guernseys and on pitchside advertising hoardings at Bulldogs home games.
- The Western Bulldogs have agreed a three-year partnership with Powercor. The electricity distribution network will put its name to the Bulldogs’ Next Generation Academy, and will also support the Australian rules football club’s flagship community programme and AFL Women’s team.
