THE 9NETWORK’S THURSDAY NIGHT COVERAGE OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES PARIS 2024 DOMINATES ACROSS ALL MARKETS WITH 9.407 MILLION VIEWERS TUNING IN

The 9Network’s Thursday broadcast of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 (up until 2.00am Thursday AEST) achieved a National Total TV Reach of 9.407 million across Channel 9, 9Gem and 9Now.

● Olympic Games Paris 2024 Day 6 Night Session (19:00-21:00) was the No. 1 program across Australia with Total People and all key demos. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 3.954 million, a Total TV National Audience of 1.706 million and a BVOD audience of 219,000. In this session, viewers watched as Australian Jemima Montag won bronze in the Women’s 20km Race Walk.

● Olympic Games Paris 2024 Day 6 Night Session 2 (21:00-22:30) secured the evening audience, convincingly winning its timeslot with Total People and all key demos across Australia. Audiences watching this session saw The Opals defeat Canada 70-65 in the Women’s Basketball, it registered a National Total TV Reach of 3.271 million, a Total TV National Audience of 1.229 million and a BVOD audience of 167,000.

● Olympic Games Paris 2024 Day 6 Late (22:30-24:00) dominated its timeslot across Australia with Total People and all key demos. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 2.212 million, a Total TV National Audience of 838,000 and a BVOD audience of 126,000. The broadcast featured the Australian men’s water polo team’s electrifying 9-8 victory against the French team in front of their home crowd.
