A combined 293,391 people attended both series at an average of 48,989 per match. 219,755 people attended the Mens Origin at at an average of 73,251, while 74,176 attended Womens Origin at an average of 24,725.
The three game Mens series, which averaged 3.409 million viewers per match (up 14.9% year-on-year), ranks as the three highest rating programs of the year (based on overnight figures). The series recorded an average BVOD audience of 788,000 per match – up an incredible 50.4% year-on-year.
Womens Origin – which went to 3 matches for the first time averaged over a million per game, with an average 1.027 million viewers match,
The first ever 3 match Women’s State of Origin Series recorded a series average Total TV Audience of over 1 Million, up 67.8% year-on-year and a series average BVOD audience of 165,000, up 156.9% year-on-year.
Origin 1
According to VOZ, Origin I rated 3.377 million including 760,000 on 9NOW and a reach of 5.244 million.
The Metro viewing audience was 2.256 million and was the number 1 program in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane on the night. (including BVOD)

When consolidated, Origin I rated 3.396 million across the Nine Network with 768,000 watching on 9NOW. The match reached 5.269 million viewers nationally.
Origin 2
90,084 people attended the match at the MCG – the 8th match this season to attract more than 80,000 and the third to attract more than 90,000 (behind AFL ANZAC Day, and Dustin Martins 300th for Richmond).
According to VOZ, Origin II rated 3.193 million including 739,000 on Nine Now and a reach of 5.192 mllion.
It was the number one program for the night in Sydney (902,000) and Brisbane (538,000), and number two in Adelaide (86.000) and Perth (116,000). The Melbourne audience was 258,000.
Regionally, the match reached 283,000 in Qld, 292,000 in NNSW, 241,000 in Southern NSW and 56,000 in Victoria. 20,000 viewers found their way to Nine in regional WA.
It was the highest rating Origin II since 2017.
When consolidated, Origin II rated 3.208 million across the Nine Network with 748,000 watching on 9NOW. The match reached 5.19 million viewers nationally.
Origin 3
Nine says State of Origin Game 3 was the highest rating match since Game 1 2016, and the highest rating Game 3 since 2013 (based on overnight using TAM/VPM). it was attended by 52,457 at Suncorp Stadium.
According to VOZ, Origin III rated 3.652 million across the Nine Network, with 864,000 watchin on 9NOW and a reach of 5.426 million.
In the metro 5 city catchment, ratings totaled 2,373,000 – this included 1,750,000 broadcast and 623,000 BVOD viewers.
The late day NRL release puts the figures at 3.829 million for the event.
State of Origin Game 3 was the No. 1 program of the night in: Sydney (979,000), Melbourne (318,000) and Brisbane (848,000) while it was the No. 2 program of the night in Adelaide (85,000) and Perth (142,000)
When consolidated, Origin III rated 3.610 million across the Nine Network, with 882,000 watching on 9NOW. The match reached 5.389 million viewers nationally.
Womens Origin 1
NRL Womens State of Origin 1 rated a record average audience -and in the process smashing the previous Nine broadcast record for NRLW Origins – of 941,000 (including BVOD of 128,000) with a reach of 1.983 million. It was a record attendance of 25,492 at Suncorp Stadium.
In the regions the match averaged 106,000 in QLD, 130,000 in NNSW, 79,000 in SNSW and 6,000 in Victoria.
On consolidation, Origin 1 rated 977,000, including 136,000 on 9NOW with a national reach of 2.11 million.
Womens Origin 2
The game was played in front of 25,872 fans at Newcastles McDonald Jones Stadium, breaking the previous record held by Game 1 this year.
The match was watched by an average audience on Nine of 1.068m (reach 2.217 million), just shy of the Matildas 1.095m (reach 2.620m) on Monday, with every expectation of more to come in Game 3.
NRLW Origin 2 was up 78% on Game 2 in 2023 and up 9% on Game 1 in 2024. (although it has only been exclusive to Nine in 2024)
On 9Now, Women’s State of Origin II recorded a BVOD audience of 166,000 – up 153% on Game 2 in 2023 and up 12% on Game 1 in 2024.
In regional markets, it averaged 109,000 viewers in QLD, 151,000 viewers in NNSW, 88,000 in SNSW and 11,000 in Victoria.
On consolidation, Origin II rated 1.083 million, including 172,000 on 9NOW with a national reach of 2.12 million.
Womens Origin 3
Game III recorded a total TV national reach of 2,282,000, a total TV national audience of 1,074,000, and a BVOD audience of 174,000. The match was played in front 22,812 at QCB Stadium in Townsville.
In regional markets, it averaged 113,000 viewers in QLD, 84,000 in NNSW, 96,000 in SNSW and 17,000 in Victoria.
On consolidation, Origin III rated 1.101 million, including 183,000 on 9NOW with a national reach of 2.205 million.
