Weekend Attendances – RLWC, T20 World Cup, AFLW, ALM and NBL

Its been a big weekend in sport.

A-league Men

Round 3 of the 2022-23 A-league Mens season saw 64,948 people attend at an average of 10,825, (36% of capacity) This is the highest drawing round, and the Melb derby is the highest crowd of the season to date. Season so far has seen 166,844 people attend (ave 9,814, 29% cap).

AFLW

AFLW R9 was attended by 15,994 people at an average of 1,777 per match, using 15% of capacity. With 1 round remaining, AFLW S7 has been attended by 217,002 at an average of 2,679 using 18% of capacity. Without the MCG curtainraiser, the season average is 2,489.

 

NBL

With one game to go, Round 4 of the 2022-23 NBL season was attended by 38,945 at an average of 5,564, at 56% of capacity. So far this season, the NBL has been attended by 174,903 people at an average of 6,247 using 64% of its capacity.

 

RLWC 2021

To date 150,222 people have attended the 2021 RLWC, at an average of 10,730 per game (53% of capacity)

T20 World Cup

On Saturday, Australia v New Zealan d at the SCG attracted 34,756 attendees (72% of capacity), while England v Afghanistan in Perth pulled 8,405 (14% of capacity). Sundays India v Pakistan game saw 90,293 people attend the MCG (90% of capacity).
