The 9Network will bring the biggest and best matchups of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, covering 14 matches including every Australian game and the finals Live and Free on Channel 9HD, 9GemHD and 9Now.
The Aussies will defend their title on home soil, hosting the world’s best players from 16 teams around the world with matches taking place across the country from the MCG to the SCG, The Gabba, Adelaide Oval, Perth Stadium, Bellerive Oval in Hobart and Kardina Park in Geelong.
Led by captain Aaron Finch, Australia’s 15-man squad will also include Pat Cummins, David Warner, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Glenn Maxwell, and adding firepower will be big hitter Tim David earning his long-awaited national call-up.
Australia will begin their campaign on Saturday, October 22 in a re-match of the last edition’s finals against New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The five-time ODI World Cup champions won their first T20 title last year beating the Black Caps in the final.
Nine’s Wide World of Sports coverage of the tournament will be hosted by Roz Kelly, joined by former Australian captain Mark Taylor, Australian representative across all three forms of international cricket, Callum Ferguson, as well as specialist T20 bowler and former Australian international Steve O’Keefe.
