AFL – Round 8
The league had an estimated total audience of 3.847 million for the round, including 1.77 million in Metro centres and 1.588 million on Foxtel.
Friday Nights West Coast v Hawthorn game was the highest rating game of the round on Free to Air (Metro) with 627,000 viewers, and another 254,000 reported on Foxfooty. The game was shown in Perth on 7mate where it was so dominant, its 25.2% share in the city was bigger than that of Nine, Ten and SBS combined.
The highest rating game for the AFL on Foxtel was the Friday night clash (254,000) followed by the Greater Western Sydney v Collingwood game at 252,000. ASTRA figures gave Foxfooty the number 1 STV channel for the 5th week in a row.
For the season, the league remains up 13% in metro ratings, and narrowly up 0.86% on Foxtel. Brisbane lead the way, up 29%, followed by Adelaide (+16%) on last season with all capitals except Sydney showing improvement (Sydney -14%).
NRL – Round 10
The NRL had an estimated total audience of 3.738 million for the round (including New Zealand), . Total metro audience was 1.05 million, regional audience 724,000 and theFoxtel audience reached 1.756 million.
Thursday Nights clash was the highest rating for the round on FTA with 701,000 viewers including 424,000 metro and 277,000 regional viewers. And additional 202,000 watched on Fox.
The highest rating game on Foxtel for the NRL was for theSaturday clash between the Storm and Titans at 270,000 viewers.
For the season, the NRL ratings are down -5%, with metro ratings down -8%, Regional Ratings down -11%, Total FTA down -9% and Foxtel down -0.57%
Super Rugby – Round 12
Australian Super Rugby viewing had total reported ratings of 214,000 from the 4 matches data was released for. For the season Foxtel ratings are down 10% to an average of 53,000.
