Australian Football League
- The National Australia Bank will expand its significant support of the AFL to be the naming-rights partner of the NAB AFL Women’s League next year. The three-year deal, with the option of a further three years, is believed to be worth $2 million-$3 million a year.
- NAB will also extend its partnership of Auskick and the AFL player pathway program for the next six years until 2022. The bank has been associated with the AFL for the past 14 years.
- The Adelaide Football Club and leading Australian retailer Harris Scarfe have announced they are joining forces in a major partnership which will support the Crows’ women’s team during its first year in the newly formed AFL national women’s league. The partnership, which is the first major sports sponsorship undertaken by Harris Scarfe in its 167-year history, will see the retailer’s green and white logo prominently on the back of the women’s team guernsey.
- Carlton have announced Hyundai will extend their club sponsorship to its Womens team. Hyundai will appear on the front of the Blues’ AFLW guernsey, and will receive branding on the media backdrop and on all training and match day apparel. In addition, Hyundai has expanded the partnership to support the female talent pathway in the northern corridor of Melbourne, which includes the introduction of a Female Next Generation Academy.
- Carlton have announced MC Labour will be a major sponsor of its Womens Team. MC Labour will appear on the back of the Blues’ AFLW guernsey, and will receive branding on the media backdrop and on all training and match-day apparel.
- CGU Insurance announced it has become a foundation sponsor of the Collingwood Football Club in the inaugural AFL Women’s League. The three-year sponsorship deal creates new opportunities for women and girls to play Aussie Rules at an elite level and supports the drive to achieve gender equality in AFL football.
- Geelong have announced Australian retail company Cotton On Group have signed on to become the official apparel provider of the Cats for 2017, replacing former provider ISC Sport. The deal will see the Group supply a range of 27 items, which includes on and off-field apparel for players and officials, in addition to official supporter merchandise which will be available through the Cats Shop at Simonds Stadium, AFL and select sporting goods stores. The range will include guernseys, polos and training apparel such as t-shirts and shorts.
- Gold Coast have lost their major sponsor, Fiat. However the club says its well on its way to signing another sponsor.
- Greater Western Sydney have announced that Mad Mex will become their membership parter for the next two seasons.
- Port Adelaide has entered into an agreement with the Ausgold Mining Group as the primary backer of its ‘Open to the World’ campaign in 2017, additional to holding match day sponsorship rights of the Power’s historic game in Shanghai.
National Rugby League
- The Brisbane Broncos and NRMA Insurance have solidified one of the strongest partnerships in Australian sport with a new three-year agreement. NRMA Insurance will continue on as the principal sponsor of the Broncos for another three years in an arrangement that will continue to benefit the team and local community.
- The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have signed a multimillion-dollar deal with Kia Motors Australia to be the club’s major sponsor for the next three years. The new deal will see the brand plastered on the front of the Bulldogs jersey and will include signage and association with the club’s community programs.
- Newcastle will become the nib Newcastle Knights after announced a new deal with nib. The new three-year sponsorship will see nib health funds (nib) become the Principal and naming rights partner of the nib Newcastle Knights, with the company’s logo moving to the prominent front of jersey position.
- The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys announced a multi-year partnership with Bundaberg Rum. The partnership will see the Bundaberg Rum logo on the sternum section of Cowboys jerseys from next year.

- Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill is a premier partner of the Perth Glory Football Club after inking a three-year deal. The partnership includes the Mad Mex logo on Perth Glory FC players’ shorts, VIP member events and offers, stadium signage, player appearances and game days. In line with the brand’s irreverent personality, at all Perth Glory home games, the Mad Mex Oblivious Fan Cam will surf the crowd for unsuspecting spectators with a timer to see how long it takes for them to notice.

Perth Glory Football Club is proud to announce it has joined forces with Healthway’s “Go for 2&5” health message as its new exclusive naming rights partner for the “Go for 2&5 Glory in the Community Program” for the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons.The “Go for 2&5” health message will become synonymous with the Perth Glory’s pre-game Kids Zone activation precinct at all home games, with Healthway and “Go for 2&5” assuming the naming rights to the highly popular entertainment space which is visited by thousands of children and young families. The relationship will also see prominent branding displayed across all Perth Glory community programs and will include “Go for 2&5 branding on community participant bibs, signage, ball kids, player mascots and development officer apparel, educational resource materials and across all Community communications- online and digital, newsletters, awards and certificates, posters and flyers.

Sydney FC has announced UNSW Australia as the Sky Blues’ major partner for the AFC Champions League 2016 campaign. The UNSW logo will be associated with the Sky Blues Champions League endeavours and will appear on marketing collateral and throughout the Sydney FC social media channels and website.
Stadiums
- Hunter Stadium will now be known as McDonald Jones Stadium. Australian property group McDonald Jones Homes has signed a naming rights agreement with Venues NSW for the Newcastle-based Hunter Stadium.
- Aurora Stadium, originally known as York Park, will be known as University of Tasmania Stadium in AFL fixtures and on AFL football broadcasts around the nation.
