The Courier-Mail reports that Brisbane Roar have finally put their financial problems behind them after paying more than $5 million dollars in the past four months to clear their debts.
Football Federation Australia confirmed that Roar owner Nirwan Bakrie met the January financial deadline he had been set to meet commitments or face the likelihood of being stripped of Brisbane’s A-League licence.
The Roar have paid their tax bills, superannuation and money owed to players, staff and creditors.
