The Gold Coast Bulletin is reporting that Stadiums Queensland has closed one of the Grandstands for the Titans clash with Penrith reducing the capacity of the Robina stadium by 6,000 and forcing the club to tell its members and supporters that seating will be unavailable.
“The request came from the stadium itself and from Stadiums Queensland because there had only been a handful of seats sold in that grandstand,” Annesley said.
“Based on our game-by-game arrangement, they’re looking to cut costs.
“You will see it on TV, but it’s not unusual at games where there are small-sized crowds because people prefer to sit on the sides instead of at the ends.”
