A group of St Kilda supporters are working under the slogan of “Bring em home” to return St Kilda to a redeveloped Junction Oval, where the team was based until 1964 when they moved to Moorabin. The proposed redevelopment will be a new home for Cricket Victoria.
The AFL have confirmed that high level discussions are under way which would involved the Saints playing at the Junction oval.
An AFL spokesman told AFL.com.au on Thursday: “The AFL will continue to work with government and other sports to explore options to enhance facilities at the Junction Oval with a view to making the MCG available for the AFL’s opening round in years to come.”
